    Make sure you keep track of all the time you have had off work and how much it is costing you as unpaid leave. Doesn't matter if you are taking it as holiday, you can still claim it back and then just take it as unpaid later.

    Homeserve owe you your hourly rate for all the time you have taken off when they didn't turn up or were unable to fix the problem, beyond the first day. They also owe you interest on that money until they pay up.
    You are just making that up.

    They caused you to take extra time off work. You are not obliged to take that as paid holiday, you can take it unpaid and claim your wages back from them.
