sent vouchers instead of a cheque-what are my rights

had a deodorant that stained my clothes and was sent £4 in vouchers to cover the cost of the deo. that was fine- i didn't have to send them proof of purchase or anything, so goodwill. BUT. this is the problem.
in their letter they recommended a product - a deodorant stain remover and gave a link to it. they stated that. " if you would kindly return the receipt for the stain remover to our freepost address below quoting reference. xxxxxxxx i would be happy to reimburse you this too."
well the product was expensive nearly £13 inc postage.
i sent the receipt and today received back 2 money off vouchers one for £ 10 and one for £3.
what were my rights in expecting the money spent to be refunded as money and not as vouchers.?
thanks.

Why not use the vouchers to buy something you need that, if you didn't have the vouchers, you would have to spend money on.....toilet paper, milk, bread etc.

  • For the sake of £13 it's probably not worth more than an email to see if they will give you a refund in cash.

If you can spend it easily then just not worth the effort.

the vouchers are to be spent on their products only - nivea, and i had a problem before using one of the previous vouchers - one was for £3 and the shop wouldn't let me use it to buy a couple of products to take it over the £3 , i had to buy a single product so was restricted as to what i could use the voucher on.
