Seems very fair to me, they will have to have the camera inspected anyway. And I can't see the store turning you away when cs have giving you the email to present to them.0

UPDATE:
I went to Argos yesterday evening, and the manager there explained that they don't sell that model of camera any more. Therefore his suggestion was to refund the camera in full onto an Argos gift card :T However, rather than do this, I simply purchased a similar camera, and got the (small) difference refunded onto my debit card. A win-win situation!
