DVLA Lost V5c
Hi guys
Bought a new car in May and the dealer sent off the V5C then, it never arrived so called them and they agreed to send a duplicate out (17th July) called today they confirmed they have sent it again but it has not arrived!
What the hell can I do? All they want to do is send it out again which based on the last two attempts will not arrive and I do not want to further risk my sensitive information being sent out for someone from Joe Public to receive.

I recentlly applied for a VED refund on a car. Took over two months to receive it, and apparanlty two refund warrents were sent out, I only receive the 'second'. However in the mean time I received several letters each dated the day after I had phoned but the warrent I received was dated two week after I last phoned and arrived another two weeks later.
So assuming they have your correct address seems to just have to wait and then phone again and again.
PS what sensitive information is on a V5?0 -
The entire history of the vehicle, which in the wrong hands could be used.
It has been 3 going on 4 months now0 -
Temper temper...
As far as I am aware, only the number of keepers and the previous keeper are listed on a V5.
Yes, your address is given, as is the reg of the car (duh) and possibly the chassis number.
What other personal information is there ona V5? Not much that could be useful to anyone.
You just need to keep asking for the V5. Yes, DVLA can be incompetent at times, and it is more than likely that your V5 has not even been sent out due to 'computer error'. Just be thankful that it isn't your driving license that has gone missing, or had entitlements mysteriously removed.
TL;DR - you have to keep hassling them. Sorry.
