When to inform DWP that ive been offered a job?

Hiya,
Im currently getting JSA but have just been offered (and accepted) a job-yay!
Ive just signed on (Tues just gone) so due to sign again on 19th. However my induction for new job is on 18th BUT not yet got a start date (find out at induction) When shall i inform DWP that ive got the job? Should i ring them now or wait until my next signing and just inform my advisor?
The job is only 12 hours week so will still be making the fortnightly trip to thejob centre :(

Unless you have a contractually binding offer of work - it may still fall through.

Start date may be weeks, or even months in the future, and in the meantime, you might find better work.
If you are still actively seeking employment, and have not been paid - there is no need immediately to contact them - letting them know at your next signing is fine.

    However!
You still need to do the steps you are expected to do, in order to retain entitlement to any amount of JSA.
You may ask to have this reduced - once you are actually in work, or if preparing for that work is taking time - assuming you're still in receipt of some JSA.

    Thanks for the reply rogerblack,
from what i can gather after a talk with HR, the company like you to start more or less straight away after the induction and,i may be wrong here, but they may class your induction as first day of employment therefore you get paid for it??? Its sainsburys by the way.

Are you paid for this induction?
