PIP department dealing positively with delays.

With DLA, renewal forms were issued around 20 weeks before the end of the claim, to give the claimant time to fill them in, and process them. This almost always happened if the claimant was prompt with the forms.
PIP have now taken the bold step of extending that 20 weeks to 52.
So they have most of a year to process the claim.
So proactive, and right-thinking.
What other solution could their possibly be?

Hi Roger, It took PIP 7 months from June 2013 to Jan 2014 to finish and award my claim - valid until June 2015. Today I received a renewal pack (dated 22 July 14) that must be returned to PIP by 22 August. Giving me barely 2 weeks to gather all my information and complete it - yet they will be taking over 10 months to make a decision. First time round the wait and was absolutely dreadful, and I have been watching the PIP posts and have noted that the waits are just getting longer. I know that I have the award for now, and should get it renewed without a problem - but another year of waiting is going to be awful. They are never going to be able to transport DLA claimants with such outlandish waiting times for PIP.0

also seems a bit too long to me.
conditions can improve/worsen significantly ober the course of a year.
so then you would have to ask for a supersession.
yet you would have an ongoing assessment that you are querying even before a decision is made?
