Not sure where to post this. I'm having a dispute with Living Social over the way they operate with PayPal. I bought something from their website once and used PayPal, entering my password in the usual way. Next time I bought something and clicked the 'buy' button, I wasn't offered any choice of how to pay, or asked for any password - the payment was instantly taken from PayPal with no security check.
LS say it's their normal practice, and that I need to go to PayPal and remove the connection to LS. PayPal are sympathetic, and I feel they are fed up with the complaints they get from people about this practice.
My point is it's not clear anywhere on the LS site that once you use PayPal you are agreeing to this being your default payment and that future payments can be taken with no further security checks. I think this is wrong - I don't think LS should be storing my PP password and using it in this way, and they should warn you very clearly that this is happening. No more business from me, anyway.
