    Good morning everyone :hello:

It's a beautiful day this morning so I will be doing as much washing as I can find. I was awake at 2, came downstairs at 3 closely followed by hubby and we ended up having breakfast at 4.30  then I went back to bed for a couple of hours so I am all over the place this morning :D.

I went to see my diabetic nurse yesterday and she couldn't have been more lovely. She gave me a load of bumph to read, told me not to panic and generally calmed me down so I feel a lot less anxious today.
I'm going to stick with a low fat, low carb and minimal sugar diet so hopefully it will get some of my 'dumplingness' off me :):o.

Hope everyone has a great day especially Molly :bdaycake:
    Take care xx
  • Good morning all.

Had lay in this morning and as usual haven't got much done yet. There is a load of washing in the machine.

Older 2 go away tomorrow for a week to stay with their nan. So today is washing ironing and packing for them. Will have to TD the clothes as it's very grey out there.

Need to pick up my new glasses today.

I am fed up with being hot! I don't think I've been cool for months!

    Happy birthday Molly xxx

Morning everyone - a sneaky post from work! Quiet day at the office and I finish at 1.30 today anyway.

Been a rough tough two weeks at Gers towers and now I need some time and space to do something close to nothing for a couple of days. Will fall into the Chinese takeaway close to home and then enjoy a chilled plonk with it. OH away doing choo-choos again so peace and quiet is the plan.

A little shopping to be done but not a lot so I'll pick up that on the way and then just enjoy the drive home. I'll have Loch Lomond on the right, then Loch Long on the left and then Loch Fyne/Loch Gilphead all the rest of the way up. I love driving along the sides of the lochs.

I hope everyone has a good weekend despite woes and worries.

    Morning all,

happy birthday Molly. I hope you have a lovely day.:)

TTFTM good luck at the hospital from me too. Hope all goes well.

I slept really well last night. That was after a mammoth messaging session with my oldest sons girlfriend last night. I think I mentioned it yesterday that she is having problems with my sons ex.... well it transpires she wants babies too and my son has put his foot down. Understandable really, he's got 2 failed relationships behind him that all went pearshaped when his partners got pregnant. Plus the fact, he is still trying to battle his alcoholism.

As I told her last night, she has plenty of time for that. She is 10 years younger than my son and my son hasn't said no but he's just said 'not yet'. "Its not fair" she said. "Ive supported him through his drinking problem, even made appointments for him and bought him clothes out of my wages when he cant even support himself".

Speaking to my son, he is still nursing the grief that his Father my ex, walked out on us when he was 2. He's never forgiven him for that and never forgiven himself for walking out on his first son when his ex got violent with him when she couldn't get her own way.

Anyway, up bright and early this morning. Laundry done and on the line, weeds down the side of the house bleached. Its beginning to look like a jungle out there and having hubby at home has shaken my routine to the core.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

  • DUMPLING I am so pleased you have seen the Diabetic Nurse. Now that you are armed with the information you need you will flourish, and it won't seem quite so frightening as you first thought.

    Hello everyone
birthday wishes to Molly, have a beautiful day with family. Family is important.

get well wishes to the ill people.

i slept really well last night. it makes such a difference to just a few hours and then wake up routine.

I am just doing some TLC of our home.
Bit of gardening and cut some flowers for our table.
    Washed dishes and tidied fridge.

Dancing with Dyson, there is a lot of dog hair about.

Put sun brollies on decking and cushion on sun chair.

chatting to neighbours over garden fence.

Trying not to eat in between meals and eat smaller meals to lose a few lbs - we'll always hopeful! Eating fruit and drinking tap water more.

    Started shopping list.

Dinner = Pasta in bolognese sauce and vegetables. Might cook some bacon.

    reading kindle free books.

Have the daily surveys to do when i turn the desktop computer on.
This is my mini ipad. On now.

Just looked at the OWL electric monitor = 1.3 p at the moment.
we are under 2 pounds a day for electric used.
Will go up with the winter ahead.

    Sending good wishes...

Its not the fact that my son hurt felt the pain of his parents separation, after all, millions of people separate every day and another man filled the role as his Father, it was just the fact the man just walked out and never made contact, or even asked how his kids were occasionally.

Ive always said, no marriage is better than a bad marriage (or relationship) but there are ways of making sure the kids don't suffer and my ex was too selfish to realize what they were.

I think God forbid if anything happened to my daughter and fianc!'s relationship I would be an expert in dealing out advice where our Grandson is concerned. Not as though I'm worried about that, my daughter and her fiance are besotted with their little man and they are perfect for eachother.
