Have you run malwarebytes in safe mode?

Hi noddingdonkey, No I haven't run malwearbites in safe mode. Not sure how to get into safe mode. I would be very grateful to anyone who can explain how to do this. Again thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Restart your computer and press and hold F8 on the keyboard as your computer starts.

    I presume you're running Windows.

^^ That should definitely help. Run Malwarebytes and your antivirus in safe mode.

If you still have problems, I've found the Avast Rescue CD usually gets the computer usable again. You boot directly from the CD so it bypasses any malware on your PC.

Or set Avast to run a boot scan so it scans in dos.
