My account on card says 4658 cash card... but now when i log in to barclays it says 'THE BARCLAYS BANK A/C'
So if i got a new debit card will it now say 4659? is there really any difference??
cheers.

Not necessarily you can have a normal Barclays bank account and be give a card starting 4658. The difference between the 4658 and 4659 is that the 4658 is called a Connect electronic card which means every time it is used it will connect to the bank to check if funds are available before authorising a payment. If there is insufficient funds in your account the transaction will be declined.
The 4659 is known as a connect card and doesn't always check to see if funds are available before authorising a payment, it can be used in places where terminals can't always check to see if funds are available i.e. Planes, Trains and Ships.
Which card you will get depends on Barclays risk assessment.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

Just as an aside there is some sort of curious glitch with the 4658 cards- while they shouldn't work on trains etc they do- I have one and it definitely does.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

Yea- this was before they did though. My other debit card (A&L so it will tell you how long ago this was!) wouldn't work but my Barclays one did.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
