If your looking for better product quality and cheaper than Howdens,Wickes etc as already mentioned DIY kitchens are excellant. I've fitted hundreds of kitchens ove the years and make bespoke ones but DIYK are very good value for a mass produced kitchen.

The only drawback is you need to plan/order all the units etc online. They do have a link to a free (30 day) kitchen planning software to help you which is ok. I fitted a new kitchen for my parents about 3 weeks ago and was very impressed. Howdens quoted (had an account for over 15yrs ) £5k for a lower mid range kitchen (foil wrapped door, white carcases),poor quality worktops and a decent sink.
DIY quoted £4,600 for colour matched carcases ,solid Oak doors, oak vaneered decor ends etc, Durapol worktops and all the wire pullouts, doors, pan drawers etc are pre-fitted and delivered into the house.

Howdens etc need to step up or customers will vote with their feet.

Susi, very niice! But a big spend on a small space.

Howdens, they dont supply to the public, do Op needs to find fitter first
Thank you. Absolutely, it wasn't cheap but we'll be in this house for another 7odd years I'd have thought so we'd rather live with what we want. And the fact we'll get the vast majority back when we come to sell, the cost is pretty moot :)
