DLA renewal waiting times

Hi there.
I have been to see an advocate today who has helped me fill in my DLA renewal form.
I struggle badly with anxiety and just wondered if anybody has any idea of the waiting times for a decision now? Has anybody sent a renewal lately?
I'm just looking for a rough idea of how long I will have to wait for the brown envelope to land on the doormat.
Thank you

they usually send you the form 4 weeks before your claim is due to end but it can take anything up to 12 weeks you might get a decision before that though0

Depends on where you live in the country OP.
Why not call DLA to get an idea for your area as well as any backlog? It would be the most sensible thing to do.0 -
I posted recently on my own how long will it take as I was reading horror stories of long waits but my experience for my sons renewal was they received form 16.07.14 sent acknowledgement stating this on the 23.07.14, letter of authority dated 24.07.14 and award letter 31.07.14 so just about 2 weeks from them getting form.
It should be noted took a while for them to get to the form as I sent back in June but renewal was only for end of September so all good.

Thanks for your replies.
My award is due to expire on 9th November. The advocate I saw said he will be posting it when he receives a statement from my support worker so hopefully sometime next week.
I too have been hearing horror stories and was worried my money may just stop.
I'll give them a call late next week to check they've received it and how long I'm looking to wait.
Thank you again.0
