LHA (One Bedroom Rate?)

Hello,
I would just appreciate a quick clarification.
I realise most people under 35 are entitled to Shared Accomodation Rate of LHA only. I'm 29. One group exempt to this rule is those entitled to the Disability Premium/live alone and no one receives Carers Allowance for looking after them.
I live alone and claim MRC and LRM of DLA. Am I right in therefore thinking that I am entitled to the one bedroom rate of LHA, instead of the Shared Rate?
Does it make any difference that my property is a two bedroom and not one bedroom property? I should still be entitled to the one bedroom rate?
Many thanks.

you will be entitled to one bedroom rate regardless how many bedrooms you have if you are in private rent.
(if you are in shared then you won't get the full one bed rate as they will look at the rent amount and not going to give you one bed rate so you can profit the leftover of the allowance)0 -
...and if you need an overnight carer you will get the 2 bedroom rate. These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0
