    Most people agree that the old DS does have a couple of advantages over the Lite though, namely better speakers and much better D-pad (personal preference comes into play here but it's larger and more 'clicky' and more importantly diagonals are much easier to get). If you are buying to purely play fighting games or others that require precise diagonals this might be a factor but for most people the Lite is far superior.
