Blists Hill or Black Country Living Museum?

Has anyone been to these? I'm trying to decide whether one is better than the other or if it is worth visiting both. We had planned to go to Blists Hill and the other ironbridge museums but I've been reading some reviews saying the Black Country Museum is better. Any opinions?

I have been to both and they are both fantastic. If I had to chose between them I would say the Black Country0

Not been to Blists Hill but can recommend the BCLM - get there at 10am when it opens if you can, as it will take you all day to see everything0

Can I ask if the Black Country museum is Victorian? I've seen reviews saying it is but the website looks more 1940's.0

The buildings come from a variety of eras - off the top of my head I thing the latest building we saw was a cast iron house from around the 1930s, and there is a cinema which can't be much earlier than 1920 - but a lot of the industrial buildings like the Newcomen engine house, chain makers, etc I think date back to the industrial revolution.0 -
Ive driven upto Blists hill from the Birmingham area for the fish and chips. They are lovely.
I like Blists Hill. You can get a ticket that allows you to visit all the musuems around Ironbridge etc. Go as often as you like for 1 year. And you can still visit places you missed after that year. Which i think is a great idea.
You will have a good day at either. Just try and avoid the food places at lunchtime. Have an early or later lunch to avoid the queues.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Love Blists Hill although the sweetshop was out of fudge two weeks ago. Also went to the china Museum on the same ticket and did some pottery painting, big youth hostel with nice cafe right next door. Must try Black Country Museum.0

Thanks Mrs Soup. Buy one get one free on both!
Does Blists Hill take a full day? Or could we fit in some of the other ironbridge museums as well? I'm trying to work out if it's worth buying the annual passport ticket.0 -
Blist Hill took us all day and we did the rest of Ironbridge in 1 and half days0

Personally I would allow a full day for Blists hill especially in summer as the fun fair will be open, you want to go in all the shops and buy bits and bobs and there are food places to eat - the chippy is good.0
