students about to go to university

Hi,
I am hoping to buy a house soon and am stocking up my "bottom drawer" of things I will need. I think a few of things I've spotted recently would be good for students who are heading off for university in September.
In Wilko's they have a 12 piece dinner set (3 bowls, plates, side plates) for £5. I also got a stainless steel cutlery set for £1.73
I have also seen pan sets in Asda and Tesco fro around a tenner.
Hope this is useful!

  • We have a small stockpile of stuff at the moment for Son 3. Wilkos is great for student household stuff. We got a lot of Son 1's kit in there. I've also picked up bits from the 99p Stores, B&M and Lidl.

I'll have a look out for those pans you mention, also need to get a laundry bag, kitchen utensils, towels, but will leave buying bedding until we know whether he's in halls (single bed) or shared house with own room (often a double bed)

My DD and her BF are both off to Uni next month and I've been collecting bits for them for a few months. (Started by picking up kitchen utensils for 20p, reduced in Tesco after Christmas :o )

I bought them each one of these http://www.tesco.com/direct/tesco-pans-bakeware-4-piece-starter-set/517-0906.prd
Includes saucepan with lid, frying pan, baking tray & roaster, £4

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end
