Hi there,
I was curious to see if I was eligble for WTC and so did the HMRC calculator and the one on this site for benefits. So I entered all my info and it said on the HMRC calculator that I was eligible for WTC but the amount was 0
As I say it was just for curiosity but am baffled why it wouldn't give an amount, I am assuming from that, that I am actually not eligble?

the wtc limits are around 13k for a single person and 18k for a couple.
the person claiming also has to be over 24 or have children.
without kids they need to work at least 30 hours a wee, a couple with kids needs to work 24 hours between them, with one working at least 16 hours, and a single parent has to work at least 16 hours a week

Hey there thanks for the info,
I am a single person (33 years old) and I have no kids and work 37 hours a week if that helps.
I am thinking it is the amount of money I earn which means I am not eligible, as I said I was just curious and thought it weird that the answer was yes but you'll get 0 amount lol!!0 -
Thanks blondebubbles for clarifying that
