Liquids in Carry On Luggage

Going to Ireland for the weekend, so not checking in a case.
The last time I went to Ireland, they made a big fuss about my liquids in the clear bag, so I have specially gone to Waitrose to get some.
It is resealable (which was the issue last time), but not completely see through as it has the word Waitrose on it with a little white space where you write what you have put in the bag.
This will be fine, won't it?

Which airport are you flying from? Many give the bags away for free. A couple charge 20p or something but even those will normally give you one if you protest a little that you didnt know they charged and dont have change.
There is a maximum volume of the bag as well as the other requirements on resealable and see through.
The wife has used a bag which had 3 bands about 1cm thick on one side and they didnt say anything about it.0 -
Luton and flying to Kerry.
The last few times I have been to Ireland (either from Stansted or Luton, I can't remember) just made a big fuss and made me pay £1 as my see through bag was just a sandwich bag and couldn't be sealed.
The £1 wasn't so much the issue, but the moans and groans of all the people in the queue behind me I could have done without.
You say there is a maximum amount of liquids you can have. Is this in each bag or overall? I won't be taking much with me. It's just for my contact lenses and my toothpaste really.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

I use something similar from Tesco and have never had any hassle from security, so yes I'm sure you'll be fine.0 -
Their website say they charge £1 for 2 bags.
If you are that worried then simply use them. Keep them safe and reuse them next time. Normally they are available before you enter the queue for security so should avoid any irritable fellow passengers.
As above though, suspect you'll be fine anyway0 -
Each container must be no more than 100ml, and the bag must be no bigger than 20cm x 20cm with a total capacity of not more than 1 litre. Disposable lenses in daily packs in their own fluid don't need to go in.pollyanna24 wrote: »You say there is a maximum amount of liquids you can have. Is this in each bag or overall?
