Just to say I can relate to a lot of what you're going through.
I left school with no friends and zero confidence after being bullied relentlessly for years. Like you I found the prospect of going to a job/college interview terrifying.
I can say from experience that the only way build your self esteem is by forcing yourself to go to these interviews/to phone people/meet people etc. 99% of the time you'll find the experience wasn't as bad as you'd thought it was going to be and you'll feel more confident about doing it again.
Remember that all those people at the GP surgery and Job Centre want to do is help you. I remember a great book called "Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway". I never actually read the book, but I always remember the title when I'm scared to do something
It may be frightening, but if you follow everyone's advice above then life really will start to get better very quickly and you'll feel a huge sense of relief.
Hoping you feel the fear and do it anyway,

I promise you that the first step is the hardest. Once you make the first call and realise it wasn't as scary as you'd anticipated it will become much easier to do it they combined with the massive relief you will feel that tout are finally dealing with it and that it will all get sorted s a result. Writing it all here was the first step you now need to make the second.0
