Barclaycard PPI claim

Since I have been a Barclaycard holder since 1992 I used this card a significant amount in that time period. However I only claimed for PPI last year. I received a letter which said how they were going to look at my claim. After this I did not hear from them so I called them a couple of months back. They explained that I am entitled for a PPI and they calculated my claim using my previous transactions in the last five years. They estimated it would be about £300 including tax. However in these last 5 years I only used my card on a few occasions. I am very sure that I used my card a lot 10 years ago. They suggested that if I sent them all of my bills and statements they would review my claims again.
Can anyone suggest how I am meant to go forward with this matter for example how I find all my previous bills etc.
Thanks.

That is the correct and fair response from them and matches the regulatory requirement.for example how I find all my previous bills etc.
What do you do with the statements when they arrive?
Barclaycard retain around a rolling 6 years. After that, they destroy the record (as they should). So, the only other record that will exist if your copy. If you destroy your copy then its game over. There is no other record.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
