Parking eye CCJ

I have been following the threads on parking eye. I too received a threats about an over stay at Morrisons, I was shopping in store but overstayed the 2/3 hour maximum stay. I ignored initially, then contacted parking eye along with morrisons. This seemed to get me nowhere, I finally received a threat of a CCJ. I contacted Morrisons direct and they said they would contact Parking Eye on my behalf. I heard nothing so assumed it had been dealt with. Yesterday, quite by accident, I found out that a CCCj had been issued against me. I received no paperwork from the court. Please help, I do not want a CCJ on my records for the next 6 years.

Have you moved address recently? How do you know a CCJ has been registered, have you looked at your credit file? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Did you move house and fail to notify DVLA of your new address? When you contacted the PPC, (phone, letter), what address, if any, did you give them? Is there any way that you may have contributed to this CCJ being issued. ?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

No I haven't moved lately been at same address for over 10 years. A company my husband purchases from announced to him yesterday that he had a CCJ against his name. Car is registered in his name. He was devastated, quite rightly. I'm now in trouble with him too! Is there anything I can do other than pay to get the CCJ removed?0

No don't pay the CCJ, you need to go back to the court to set this judgement aside, this I believe will cost about £80 to do this, the reason for setting aside is that you haven't received court papers. If you pay normally you can't do this. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

No haven't contributed in anyway, I have been in contact via phone and email. They have sent mail to my house, but no court papers!0

Here's a link for you, but the fee it says is £155 to do that, the alternative is having this on file for 6 years

Well, if you are totally blameless for the CCJ, then clearly, either The Court Service, or the PPC are guilty of gross negligence and/or gross incompetence.
Others on here will tell you how to sort this out at minimum cost to yourself, I say place it in the hands of a solicitor, and if he/she identifies malfeasance sue for compensation.
You might even find a lawyer who is willing to take it on a contingency basis but, despite what others may advise, a CCJ is not a matter over which to count the pennies, especially if you rely on credit to run a business.
From now on conduct all business by letter and retain certificates of posting orYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
So if I follow, you:
1. Received an initial PCN (how long ago?)
2. Contacted PE and Morrisons
3. Received a warning about a CCJ
4. Contacted Morrisons
5. Have a CCJ
Were there any other correspondence from PE during the time periods?
Am concerned that you might have ignored too many letters!!**********************************************

If you did not receive the court papers, then you can get the CCJ set aside as others stated above.
(FYI: CCJs paid within a month are removed; CCJs paid after a month are marked as satisfied BUT will still appear on your record)
If you want to fight it, you will get plenty of help from forumers here**********************************************
