If so how do I do this?
Many Thanks

Seriously? They probably have help pages, but go on line, look at the options in front of you and set one up for the amount you want, going to the account you want, on the date you want. Or go into a branch and ask.0

The answer is 'no', it'll be standing orders that you need, i.e. you need to 'push' the money from other accounts rather than having Santander or Nationwide 'pull' it. There was (is?) one particular Santander account that allowed this but it was apparently fiddly and unreliable if I recall correctly from previous threads on here.
If you don't mind me asking, what is it that you're trying to achieve by doing this anyway? People on here are often looking at creative ways of setting up DDs to get money out of these accounts but not usually into them....0 -
Apologies! I think of DD's and Standing Orders as pretty synonymous these days. In the light of the above post, I guess my answer should have been: Why do you want to set up DD's and not Standing Orders?0

why do you want to do this? is it to qualify for Rewards/Interest on your Santander and Nationwide accounts?...if so, i use small DDs to Friendly Societies, a Building Society, a Creditcard and my Electricity supplier to qualify for mine0

Nationwide does not require any DDs on any of their accounts for any purpose. Santander 123 needs two DDs as one of the pre-reqs for interest payment. The best DDs for this would be those that earn cashback interest, i.e. utility, phone, council tax, though two others e.g. to Tesco, paying once a year or more frequently, would suffice.
However, none of this seems to be relevant as the OP appears to have asked for entirely different reasons. Their question was about DDs to pay into Santander and Nationwide, not how to pull money out of them.0 -
yes, but i wondered if they were trying to move money between them, to satisfy criteria
& i know that Nationwide insist on 2 DDs being transferred in order to qualify for a referral bonus, as i received one on wednesday;)
& yes, i have my Electricity coming out of my S123 account each month:)0
