This amount will include any monies written off as part whatever Debt Management programme you are on. They are allowed to re-coup such unpaid interest etc as part of the process of off-setting.

Otherwise, it may well be fees from Restons. No one here can tell you that.

I understand that the process of off-setting is that they can take a credit balance of yours and use it to offset against the debt you hold with them but I dont understand how it can be explained as to how I have statements for £3,862.16 and they are asking for £8,093.94? Out of interest if this mysterious £5k odd is charges from Restons then is there a way that I can contest them? seems extremely high seeing as the orignal debt was for £6k how can they almost double the amount with charges?
