Unfortunately there are infinite possibilities to choose from. It's like walking into a library and saying to the librarian that you want to read a book.
There are many many things to consider. What are you looking for? What is your risk tolerance? How much are we talking about (regular/lump sum)? Objectives, terms of investment etc.Stephen Covey once said that "when you teach once, you learn twice". That is the primary reason for my participation on the forums as an IFA.
Although I strive to provide accurate information in my posts, there may be the odd time when I fail. Yes I know it's hard to believe but even Your Hero can make mistakes. Apologies in advance.0 -
Welcome, friend. You have found a great resource. If you surf back through the last 1000 pages of threads, you will find 20000 discussions going back around 4 years, any one of which will give you an insight as to how a particular savings or investment scenario may best be addressed. The more recent threads will better take account of current economic conditions but the concepts in older threads are still largely valid.Hey Guys!
I am new to this forum and I am searching some great people who could suggest me in making my investment.
In reviewing the the questions and answers posted on those threads you will no doubt come across the usernames of reputable, well respected posters with sound advice. And even people who have not posted much, may have very valid opinions.
After you have done some research into what advice or guidance is typically posted in response to circumstances similar to your own, feel free to come back with specific questions.
However, and forgive me for appearing cynical, the fact that you are posting here as a new user with no actual questions, poor grammar and zero substance to your post, makes me think that perhaps you are just waiting to get your post-count up in order to be able to post links and unleash a torrent of spam. I look forward to you proving me wrong.0 -
Thank you for welcoming me. I am planing to invest in Real Estate but have no actual idea where to start from. I am not here to just get my post-count up but yes I am a little scared after the article I read a few days back about Jawad Rathore who worked smartly to reach on the peak of success by cheating on investors and making a fool out of them by giving them wrong leads to persuade customers to buy shares of a particular company.
He did this with the help of one more guy named Maloney, with the clients of Phoenix and Now they are out of trading because of prohibition act they are facing apart from that there is a penalty that they had to pay.
I do not want to make a fool of myself while I invest. This is the reason I need an expert advice before investing.0 -
So, there is an axe you wish to grind rather than seeking investment ideas.
If you need an expert, an IFA will help or do as bowlhead suggests.0 -

So you read this article and decided to get into Real Estate investing? If you want to get into that, read something about it. What you've written so far is sounding very suspicious not to mention dubious.Thank you for welcoming me. I am planing to invest in Real Estate but have no actual idea where to start from. Its not being suspicious or dubious but yes I am little scared if the same thing happened with me too than what am I going to do as I will be investing almost all my savings (around $45,000).
I have read about Fortress Real Development and their Winnipeg project and its quite interesting.
What do you say will it be good to invest here?0 -

If you're looking at Canadian real estate, I'd suggest contacting Jim Neilas of Hi-Rise Capital in Toronto. If he's not available on the phone, try the mirror.
