PayPal Autobilling and Living Social

A while ago I used my PayPal account to buy a voucher on my wife's Living Social account. No problem. Today she bought something else, and without being offered the option to pay with her own account or credit card, the transaction was completed and the money taken from my PayPal account, without any password or check.
Living Social blame PayPal and say the only way to change this is through PayPal. PayPal recognise that this is a problem with 'several websites' where you pay for something once, but buried in the site's 'War-and-Peace-length-Ts & Cs is an agreement to set up auto billing, so that future purchases are made with one click.
No doubt this is all perfectly legal and covered by the jargon, but I think it's really dangerous that payments can be extracted from PayPal accounts without a password. Needless to say I have cancelled any connection to Living Social from my PayPal account.
The only advice PayPal could give was to actually read all the way through the Ts & Cs. Having better things to do with my life, I think I'll just boycott any site that behaves in this way. It would be useful to compile a blacklist of sites that operate this practice - I'm told Virgin wines are one. Any more?
