credit with 1 default 5 yrs old

would it be a decline if i apply for lease car credit if i have 1 default on my credit file its 5 years old and was 350 pound ,everything else in my file is great but doesnt want apply if get knocked bk ,what are my chances ,thanks

Is the default settled?

If so I would expect you would find somewhere willing to lend to you. Might not be the first place you try and quite likely won't be at the representative rate.

But the only way to find out is to apply and see.

I have two defaults and an arrangement to pay, all around 5 and a half years old, and I got accepted for PCP finance in March at about 7.8%.

Not the cheapest but certainly not massively expensive either.
