Credit cards including hire-car insurance?

I recently joined car-sharing club zipcar, which says some credit cards include hire-car insurance. Haven't been able to find any in the UK that do. Any suggestions?

I'm not aware of any that do, maybe ask zipcar if they can elaborate.

not sure if this is what it means but my Amex card includes insurance which means you don't have to take anything extra from the hire company like loss damage waiver etc

The credit cards with full insurance i.e. whole value of car is very much an American thing - it doesn't exist over here.
Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.

Zip Car are talking about CDW insurance/ hire car excess insurance. American Express Platinum Card (chargecard) include this as part of their bundle of insurance but I am not sure if it is only whilst "on holiday" or would cover any hire car you get.

Yea I've wondered that in the past - according the website it covers "when you are abroad" - would be useful for me if it did offer UK cover but I don't think it does.

The marketing copy on the product home page says this. I did a scan read of the T&Cs which are actually the binding element and didnt spot anything but didnt go through them thoroughly. I do know people who have successfully claimed under AmEx travel for a UK holiday which would point in the right direction of it being covered but wouldnt want to commit to it without properly reading the terms.
