Hi folks,
I am getting a second hand replacement sky digi box within the nest few hours as my old pace one (about 12-14 years old is done) I have just got a sky free to view card.
Just wondering the satellite cable connector that has the co-axail cable that screws into the back of my existing box, will the same one be ok for new box, is it a standard fit?
Will I have to ring sky to get the card activated to the new box or can I do it online?
Thanks

Yes - all Sky boxes use the same F-plug which screws on, so if it worked with the Pace digibox it'll be fine with your new one.
I don't think you need to call Sky to do anything with the card for just the free channels. It should tell you if the card is the wrong one for the box and put a number on the screen.0 -
Thanks a million for quick answer.

Don't touch any connections while the Digibox is connected to mains power. Unplug it at the wall socket.
If it's a PVR, put it into Standby and allow time for the Hard Drive to stop spinning BEFORE you disconnect mains power.0
