Anyone else had trouble with the MSE club?

or is it just me.
My switch has gone into a black hole.
I've read the FAQ which admit that energy providers don't always have the information.
There seem to be few avenues to chase it up.
I have emailed them but they aren't being responsive.
It's 8 weeks now.

I will be going elsewhere.
I've done a few switches with uswitch and never had any trouble before.
Shame as I'm a total MSE fan, so it's a shame if they just let people down and do nothing.

I thought that might be the case and this is the exception rather than the rule.
It's unfortunate that they don't seem to seem have a good process for following things up when they go wrong.
The FAQs say wait or phone your supplier but also admit that call centers don't often have the information. No phone number to call MSE.
So when things do go wrong (which I accept is occassional) there is no process to follow it up.
I've decided to ditch the Energy club and go elsewhere because I've hit a dead end with them (yes I have emailed them but not getting any updates).

Hi Lisyloo - Just a quick message to let you know that I've now sent a response to your email on Tuesday. As soon as we receive a further update from Scottish Power, we'll pass this information onto you.

I'm afraid my experience has been very disappointing too. When it first came out my SP tariff wasn't listed. I emailed and was told to put in the standard tariff so there would be some sort of yardstick to go by initially, and then I could work out any differences on what came up with kwh's and so on. I had already worked out my consumption for the year and knew unless I had totally missed something I would still be better off staying with SP. When the list came up to say I could save money, the only one that was cheaper was the worst one for customer service, I think it was First Utility but can't be certain. All I remember was the reviews were shocking. Anyway a couple of months later I had an email with another statement to suggest there were others that were cheaper. I had by then also altered my tariff choice to one that was closest to what we are on as ours was still not listed. Again, the same ones came up and when working things out SP was still the cheapest. I am not sure how it is worked out but unfortunately it hasn't been effective for us. :( I appreciate it is difficult if a tariff isn't listed, but with doing the leg work I would expect something that has not had poor reviews to be listed. Maybe 'ultra automated'?

    Hi Capyboppy

We think it would be remiss of us not to tell you about the cheapest tariffs and few companies have flawless feedback histories. However, if a supplier has had a disproportionate amount of feedback, we'll let you know - for example we currently have a warning message on Npower's tariffs.

It is very unusual for us not to have all tariffs listed - if you'd like us to take another look, we'd be happy to do so. Just drop us a quick email to energyclub@moneysavingexpert.com and we'll see what we can do to help you get accurate results.

Thanks for this MSE Dan L. I was going to email you but checked again, the tariff is now showing! :silenced:
