Hi All,
Bit of a long shot but you never know. I was wondering if there was any schemes or projects for garden makeovers that people know about? Maybe colleges or academy courses that need blank plots for their students to practice on (similar to how colleges do hair dressing for discount prices so their students can practice.)
The reason I ask is that I was in a accident a few months ago and while recovering from injury and related depression and anxiety, being outdoors has helped but unfortunately my small garden needs a bit of work to make it inviting (new build property on former industrial site means that even grass struggles to grow).
Due to injury I'm unable to do the work myself and limited funds from being off on long term sickness means I can't afford for a professional contractor to come in.
Like I said, it's a long shot but if it is possible then it would be great.

You could try the scheme highlighted by Hugh Fearnley-Watsisname on the River Cottage tv programme, though they may be more into veg growing than flowers..
