I/s compliance interview over the phone

today I received a letter that they will call me to interview me about any changes in my claim

I have never claimed benefits before and have only been on them since January

is this normal? is there anything to worry about? I have been completely honest in my claim but I have no experience of any of this

Tia x

Compliance interviews form Income Support are sometimes about claiming IS when you are still living with your OH.

Looking at your previous threads you have said that there is some confusion about tax credits and your OH refusing to comply with renewal forms since he has moved out. It could be that this has raised a query over your claim.

Having said that it could just be as nannytone has said and it is a random check.

Whatever the reason there is no need to panic.

Just explain the situation and ask exactly what evidence they need (if this is what they want) and then get it or come back and ask for further help.

Please don't forget to note the date of the call and who you spoke to and what they said. Repeat what they said parrot fashion so that you can write it down. The call will be recorded and this can be useful for any future possible problems.

Thank you to you both I'm not as worried now as I was this morning when I first read the letter - as people say if you've got nothing to hide all will be fine I can provide them with anything they ask for - his new tenancy utility bills etc he has his own council flat now so that should be easy for them to check

    thanks again :)
