Purchase from Germany

Hi all,
I have bought an item from Germany just over two years ago which is now faulty. (should definitely last longer than this).
Am I covered by the Sale of Goods Act for up to 6 years or does this not apply to EU Sellers?
Thanks

The UK Sale of Goods Act does not apply.Hi all,

No doubt there is a German version, but it may not include the six years.
Try The European Consumer Centre.0 -
that just lists the sale of goods act

If you say so.that just lists the sale of goods act
I guess you didn't read:
From: http://www.ukecc.net/contact/index.cfmIf you live in the EU, in Iceland or in Norway, and you have a complaint against a company in another European country, or if you want to know more about your rights as a consumer, contact your country's European Consumer Centre (details on the right).0 -
You would be dependent on German Law. The EU requires at least a 2 year warranty, but now you have surpassed this it would just depend on whether German law in more generous than the EU directive.
Your best to get in touch directly with the link above to ask specifically about Germany. The German version is in German, so I can't help any further!0
