Controllable by what?0

"A simple way of increasing the number of fan connections and providing control over fan speed, which can make high speed noisy fans significantly quieter. Attach the fans to the connector with yellow/black wires for +12V supply or with red /black wires for reduced speed +5V supply".
•Connects four fans to the PSU
•Speed reduction for two fans
•Choice of 5V and 12V connectors

that would also work, however, that would require a separate molex, as it doesn't have a pass through.
if you dont have any spare, you can get splitters to increase the number of molex connectors
The controllable bit is just controlling the voltage, 12V is the normal, and 5V will give the fan less power, which reduces the speed it spins out, which also reduces the noise it makes (althou it also reduces the airflow it produces)0 -
Right then, getting somewhere finally.... and not in a good way.
I disconnected the rear case fan and connected it the 3 pin connector that the front case fan powers from.... and it's DEAD.
It doesn't spin at all, so, would it fair to say it has been DEAD and FAULTY since I received this PC direct from Chillblast themselves?
Don't forget their aftersales said: “I’ve just asked our engineers about that case fan and they surmise that the fan hasn’t needed to spin yet because of the temperature of the air inside the PC. As the PC doesn’t run very hot, I wouldn’t worry about this fan just now!"
Or maybe because it's DEAD and FAULTY
I have removed it from the rear of the case as no point in keeping it, and it's a real cheap looking, thin plastic 12cm EZ COOL EZF12025 12V 0.21A Ball Bearing TUV -Black -Red 'Made In China' job.
Would another 2 Cooler Master 12cm SickleFlow Blue System Fans be decent replacements for it? I also want to add a new one to the side of the case fan.

So I will be ordering:
2x Coolermaster 12cm SickleFlow Blue LED System Fans
1x ASAKA Multi-fan adapter with speed reduction - as I *DO* have a spare MOLEX connector (!)
plus 1x Power Adapter Cable 4 pin Molex Extension to 3 Pin Fan Male to Female Molex
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Power-Adapter-Cable-4-pin-Molex-Extension-to-3-Pin-Fan-Male-to-Female-Molex-/330718442818
To leave me with a free MOLEX connector and a free fan connector for future use?
Any suggestions/help before I order it all on Sunday please?
Thank you all for the replies and suggestions, and I'm not happy with the usually brilliant Chillblast giving me a DEAD rear case fan from new.... :mad:0 -
Oh, I don't need that last item do I?! I need a molex "Y" power splitter!0

The front Cooler Master 12cm SickleFlow Blue LED fan is actually connected to a 3 pin power lead from the PSU, not via a molex as previously stated, my mistake.0
