Cats

Hi

Please can anyone help. l help out on our school garden and we have a big problem with cats using it as a toilet. We do our best to remove the dropping as soon as we find them. I was in the garden yesterday (yes someone has to do it in the holidays and this week it's my turn :)) and it was everywhere.

Does anyone have any ideas how we can stop them or at least try. We are not able to use chemicals for safety reasons so it would need to be as natural as possible.

Many thanks

Well, everything is a chemical. We use lion dung pellets to keep our cat off our vegetable patch, but anything you use would have to go through the groundsman.

Citronella oil on teabags, scattered about. I've used it for a few years now and works well.

Perhaps the impression this sentence created was not the one you intended, but it certainly made me laugh. :rotfl:

If Raffles is in your area, it would be an open upstairs window I'd worry about. He lives as his name says!

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

We have found pepper to be quite effective. Sprinkle pepper on the spot, the cat does move elsewhere, so you then have to sprinkle elsewhere. But we have found it works in the end. The supermarket basic pots are about 17p and prssumably since you put it on your food these no safety issues.
