Ideas for one night dream accommodation in Las Vegas (on a budget!)

Hi all

Heading to the US in October with my girlfriend. We're travelling around the soutwest for a couple of weeks and will be spending our last night in Vegas.

I'm hoping to make it a special trip as its my girlfriend's first time in the US (I go every year). I usually travel on a tight budget but I'd like to have a really nice room in Vegas for our last night. I've found a couple of options in a Bellagio fountain view room and an apartment in the cosmopolitan through airbnb. Both around £200 for the night.

Wondering if anyone can recommend any other options for good rooms on or around the strip. Really would like a strip view but no other criteria apart from that.

Thanks!

Personally I would go Cosmo Terrace Suite (or even Terrace One Bedroom) over Bellagio fountain view room (I have stayed in all 3). The only downside is that depending on how high you are you may not be able to hear the fountain music - in the Bellagio room you can turn the telly to a station that plays the music along with the fountains. Other than that, the Cosmo rooms win hands down to me...and being able to go outside and sit on the terrace or stand looking out over the strip is fabulous and not something that you can do at most Vegas hotels.

Depends what you consider nice, can get a Piazza Suite at the Venetian (http://www.venetian.com/piazza-suite.html)

If you want a nicer hotel but more standard room you could get a strip view room at the Four Seasons (http://www.fourseasons.com/lasvegas/accommodations/guest_rooms/strip_view_room/) or similar at the Mandarin Oriental (http://www.mandarinoriental.com/lasvegas/accommodation/strip-view-room/) which is Trip Advisor's #1 hotel in Vegas.

All assume cashback/ discount code at the likes of Hotels.com

In fairness there are many great hotels in Vegas and most are much cheaper than their equivalents pretty much anywhere else but then its all there to lure you in and the bar, club, casino is where they make their money.

also check lowcostusa as they seem to have good rates for Cosmo (or they did last time I checked).

I realised I have videos of the two room types at Cosmo

Terrace Suite (I have heard that they have been taking out the washing machines and tumble driers as they break, not replacing them)

You should be able to get a little cheaper than £200 - I managed £160 for Palazzo in July. Might be worth contacting them direct? You'll need to ask for a strip view on check-in unless you pay in advance and be careful as some room types don't have strip views.
