Subway - Awful

So this evening I had the displeasure of finding myself in Croydon and going to wrong way as I needed to be in South Croydon ish way so started walking along the road to my destination.

At one point I had to cross a very large roundabout but only by going through the subway and it was awful. Pools of pi55 everywhere and very insufficent lighting and just grim all round.

Avoid this subway like the plague.

Indeed that particular branch of Subway at 218 High Street, Croydon is a bad hangout for the local drunkards.


To be fair you can get from Croydon to South Croydon not needing to use any subway and personally crossing at the lights would be the preferred route.

I've always found our local subway clean and hygienic. I would complain to the manager and maybe get some free meatball samples in compensation .

The Glasgow Subway is clean and efficient and I recommend it for getting around, although the platforms are quite narrow.

Having seen "behind the scenes" at our local subway I would never go near one ever again.

But they can be handy for crossing busy roads

I avoid subways completely after my local one refused to give me a discount for not having any salad on my sandwich - utterly disgraceful!

as for the pools of wee wee, there should be signs up to warn people - won't someone think of the children?!
