Why are houses in a Medway so cheap? Specifically looking at St Mary's Island

    Even in the storm surge last year Medway didn't actually flood. Some folks were advised to evacuate just in case but it was purely preventative. St Mary's Island has good flood protection as you will see if you go for a visit.

    We were originally looking at a house in Maidstone and found this video of it flooding Christms 2013. Even with flood defences I don't think I could bear to live in an area at risk of flooding. I'd fret too much.
