Personal Injury Claim Payout

Hi

I would like some advice, cutting a long story short i was involved in an accident where i was a passenger, went through the claim process and was offered a sum which i accepted in May.

I have yet to receive the payment and would like to know how long do they have to pay out?

Regards

You should have had the cheque by now. I wouldn't expect it to take any longer than a month. Do you have a solicitor or are you dealing direct with the insurer?
  • I have a solicitor and have contacted him quite a few times, last time was last week and yet to here from them...
  • I always demand payment within 2 weeks, they then get another 7 days warning and if they haven't paid I hit them with court proceedings.

Claims with a foreign vehicle insurer get a little bit of extra time.
