It is down to the creditor what they do with their CRA information as long as it is a true and accurate representation of the facts. You can get them to remove defaults on rare occasions but usually only when there is something in it for them. Like they might agree to remove the default, if you settle with them in full in a case where they didn't expect to get full settlement. It is rare though.0
