New Sky phoneline with constant calls

Hi,
We had sky connect a phoneline in our new property last monday, and ever since then we have had non stop calls for a mr swan (not us), many seem like debt companies. I know that sky recycle their phone numbers, but im getting fed up of this already, can i insist on a number that is brand new? or will this happen again?

Usually if the line is still quite new, you can request for your provider to give you a new phone number.

    Can't harm to ask.
  • I also get calls from a debt collection agency most days, leaving an annoying shouty message on my answer machine.

It is an automated thing and I think mine also might be for a Mr Swan, does yours spell out Aaron first?!

I'd be interested if anyone else has this, I'd like to stop it but I'm wary of contacting the agency for the risk of opening a can of worms.

BTW, I've lived at this address for 8 years and these calls have started in the last year so definitely nothing to do with me!
 - Just because I love this emoticon!
