Hi..need to construct a mini "Sleeping policeman" across drive to divert rain. What's the best stuff to buy. I want a long lasting job that cars can drive over. Thanks.

Have you thought of putting a drive over gully in instead ? http://www.drainageonline.co.uk/Channel-Drainage/Domestic-Channel-Drainage-Pack.htmYou may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

Thanks...already got 3!...rain floods down bank then takes a right turn into our drive / garage. We need a "hump" type thing to divert the torrent past the drive entrance.0

I know B&Q sell what they call cold lay tarmac by the bag, I have no idea how good it is but would certainly need compacting down well with a vibrating roller.
Another option would be concrete ? or block pavers ?You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
I'd be weary about doing that, in case neighbours further down accuse you of worsening the situation for them.0

Tarmac always seems a very soft material, i think a lot of driving over it would begin to break it up.
Just had a quick google, i wonder what these cost ?

You can get plastic or rubber sleeping policemen / humps that you can fix to the tarmac. They use them for instant speed bumps but as they're plastic/rubber presumably you could seal them to the tarmac with sealant and they are designed to withstand driving vehicles over them.
You seem to be able to buy just the black sections, so you wouldn't have to have the yellow stripes.
This sort of thing:

No problem there...water drains into local Burn .0
