Which company to use?

I genuinely don't have time to do this PPI claim myself so wondering if anyone can advise on a company that won't rip me off?

There isnt one.
All they do is use the information you give them to put on the same form (or their branded version of it) that would you use yourself and send it to the same address you would use if you did it. So, in effect you are paying thousands of pounds potentially for them to put a stamp on an envelope.

You say you don't have time but you will still need to take that time you don't have to provide all the details (such as account numbers, claim reason etc) to the CMC!
Given that, is it really worth losing 40% of your refund (remember they add VAT onto whatever % they say they will take) for them to write the info down for you - which is an obvious rip-off?
Just ring up the bank and ask them if you had PPI and account numbers and then send in the complain with your reasons - read the link -taff posted, you'll end up doing all the work even if you use a CMC so why lose any refund?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

All of them will - if you really have not got the time, recruit a child or family member & pay them a lesser percentage. You'll still kick yourself, but it's within the family.0
