South Milford, Yorkshire. Anyone live here?

I am going to look at a new development in South Milford at the weekend. I just wondered if anyone new much about this village. We are looking to relocate nearer to my husbands work, I live 160 miles away so any info would be helpful.

I noticed from some photo's on the village website that it had some of the flooding, but could not find anything other than the 2 pictures. That is my off put before I even get there. Was the village badly affected?

Many thanks

I live near by and didn't think there had been problems recently. Fairburn Ings nearby has only just got the water level back to normal, and Castleford was flooded in areas.
I love living round here. Its nice and quiet, near to places like Leeds and York, and a few minutes away from the M1 and M62. Schools here have a good reputation. There is a little train station in South Milford which runs regularly to Leeds and York.
