Bought Used Japan Car In London,UK

Hello,
Recently, I bought Nissan Skyline 2008 Modal here in London,Uk From english towing breakdown sole trader dealer. It has been almost 15 days, I am waiting for her. The Dealer from whom I bought he said I need to wait 5-10 days more. She stuck in paper work. If someone has any experience about it, then please suggest me.....!!

Thanks

This is a fresh import and you've only paid a deposit? I wouldn't worry until those next 10 days are up. It could well be paperwork.

You bought an imported vehicle where it needs registering and possibly work to pass a UK MOT.

Whats the issue? If you need the car right now then look for one thats already been registered and MOT'd.

Have you sought specialist insurance for imported vehicles?

Have you bought a fresh import via a broker/trader or a seemingly cheap Skyline too good to be true and paid for the car in full and you are hoping at the secured shipping agent will deliver it to your door?

2008 is under 10 years old, so it'll need an IVA test unless somebody's got a certificate of compliance together for that particular model and spec of Skyline.

Makes a pleasant read to hear of someone buying a decent car on here for a change, its usually I do 20k a year and which little eco box shall i buy type threads.

Check out some of the Jap car forums, they are full of people who have gone through the same process and can advise you. Hope it works out well and you enjoy your new car.

A 2008 skyline is not the car you are thinking of. 2008 would be the R35 Nissan GTR which is available in the UK so why import? Also its not a skyline.

It could indeed be a Nissan Skyline AKA an Infiniti G35/G37. Not an R35 GT-R which was a new model in its own right from 2008. Nissan still have a Skyline model range, it just no longer has any performance models, they are now sold in the UK under Nissan's premium brand Infiniti.
