Inaccurate entry by Lowell on Credit report

Hi Everyone

A few months ago I noticed that Lowell Portfolio I had placed a default entry on my credit file for £21 due to an unpaid O2 account.

This turned out to be an error and O2 bought back the 'debt' from Lowell and closed the account ( Long story short admin error by O2).

Now once the account had been bought back by O2 I spoke to Lowell who advised me that the entry would be removed.

However as of yet the entry is still there and was last updated on the 29th June.

I am wondering if someone can advise me on what action I should take in order to get this matter sorted, as I am holding little hope Lowell are going to remove the entry without some kind of push.

Thank You

I think you will probably have to make a complaint by using their complaints procedure, write them a letter stating that unless they change the inaccurate entry, you will make a complaint to the ombudsman and ICO. Speaking to them on the phone will be useless.

Thanks Michael. I am however struggling to find an address or email for their complaints... only a phone number..

To be fair, I dealt with Lowell once for a debt and they were really helpful. You might be surprised.
