Well we offered him a really good deal prior to mediation. We offered him 1/3 of the estate cash and 45% of a beneficial interest in the property and asked for him to contribute to upkeep of property. He would accept everything bar the contribution, and because he didn't like that bit he now wants full disclosure, talk about a smacked a$$se! Well tough he has to contribute, even his lawyer in a round about way agreed he would have to contribute to necessary repairs. We have told him he either accepts what we offered or we go to mediation and only then will he get disclosure, as we have nothing to hide. This is going to get very interesting because when he gets disclosure he is going to see that the very people who fed him all this information, the majority of it wrong information, were the very people who were stealing money out of his dads account when he was still alive, and it was my husband, the very man, he is now at war with, who made them put this money back. This is all recorded with our solicitor. There will be a paper trail where they took the money from the ATM went into the same bank where they had opened a joint account and put the money in. From what we can see and there could be and I think there is much more, that £3300 was taken out in £250 instalments! And a lump sum of £3300 was put back into the account when they were confronted. What the hell will happen once all this comes out???0

So it could be argued in court that the people who tried robbing your loved one, were caught and were made to pay back the money were being spiteful to you and lying to gain favour with the son.
Why on earth was the offer so generous? Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
I am no legal eagle but reading your threads I would now be digging in my heels and withdrawing the offer and taking all this to mediation!!!Mags - who loves shopping0

We feel pressured into making an offer by our sol. We are happy for it to go to court but we have to go to mediation first, its an absolute joke, the law is an !!!!
Now he wants disclosure we are revoking our offer, he can get stuffed and I think I have peed our solicitor off, but tough! He let it slip that his business partner (the sol who undertook the will and no longer works there) he gave him a roasting for not making the will more water tight knowing that a major problem would arise!! What does that tell you. He is so reluctant to go to court and keeps saying it will cost thousands! Well surley the other side would instigate court and therefore pay for it to get there?0 -

I think its time to get dirty. Now is the time to let him know his informers are thieves, my god, that will be a shock to him. We have thought for a long time that he is paying his informers for all the information he is gathering. Every time we get a letter from his solicitor there is always more bull from what can only have come from this thief. He knows stuff that only this certain person knows.0

Why has this not come out before? Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0
