Overdraft fees

I'm confused. On 24 June 2014 I went into credit and have not used my overdraft since but on 1 August the bank took £6 in OD Usage for 11 July and £2.19 interest, I don't understand why because I was in credit before the 11 July

I believe, July 11th is the date you were advised about the charge which was taken last Friday. The actual dates of being overdrawn are up to a month prior to the date you are told about about the pending charges..

Check your statement from June 11th on. If you cannot find it, contact your bank.

11 June until 24 June I was in debit and from 24 June always in credit

3 July they took £6 in OD usage and £6 in interest for 12 June
  • You are charged for being overdrawn during the statement period your statement should always be behind as they have to notify you of fees so the statement period you describe should cover from the date your statement is printed go back one month and a day should make sense then.
They have to give you appropriate notice of the fees they will take usually between 15 to 25 days in my experience but your statement should tell you the exact date fees are due to debit
    Hope this helps
