Brussels for a day

Have seen a flights deal where you could fly to Brussels and return on the same day for £40 return but the flight leaves at 6.30am and arrive at 8.55am to Brussels Charleroi aeroport and then the same day return flight is at 19.35pm...
I am wondering if it's doable? I mean to get from Charleroi aeroport to Brussels, spend few hours there and return back to Charleroi aeroport for the 19.35pm flight?

Its about an hour transfer to Brussels from the airport, subject to traffic.

Depends what you mean "doable"? You can certainly fill the time but in no way can you do any capital city fully in under 24 hours. Ive done day trips to many places, get there, do something in the morning, a good lunch, one or two things afterwards before heading back

Is there something in particular you want to do in Brussels?

Grand Palace in particular. Basically just tempted because of that price. Just worry that you need to be at the Charleroi aeroport 2 hours before departure just in case of unexpected delays...

Always depends on how on the edge you want to be. 19:35 flight would mean getting the 16:35 shuttle if you want to follow their advice. Obviously you could cut it finer and would probably be ok but would only have yourself to the blame if you arent - probably fine if you have the cash for a taxi as a backstop

Still 8:55 landing means being in Brussels, with a fair wind by 10:30 and so 6 hours there.

As i say, its long enough for doing a little and food but clearly never enough to do the whole city.
