Michaelmas Daisies (Aster) looking a bit poorly!

After several weeks of extreme weather conditions (very wet, very dry, flippin hot, heavy storms etc) some of my Michaelmas daisies have awful mildew (worst I have seen in 3 years here), I know a lot are susceptible to it, is there any way of rescuing them, or should I dig up the worst and try and buy in some resistant strains for next year? (BTW I think some of them would need a massive amount of spray)

I would appreciate any advice please.
