Personal protection plan

I was sold this in 2010 by a Santander financial adviser, when I had just become a single parent with 2 small children, I am still paying this and have been told that I should reclaim this. It was not linked to a loan, mortgage or credit card, anyone have any views on this please? Thanks.

and have been told that I should reclaim this.

And did the person who is telling you to complain give you the reasons you should use in your complaint?
anyone have any views on this please?

The plan is life assurance (or life assurance with critical illness cover bolted on). You have young children. So, it seems to be sensible to have life assurance. You find most parents do.

So, why do you want to complain about it?

Why would it be mis-sold? having insurance isn't illegal and not wrong to have. This is a regulated insurance sale in 2010, it would be monthly policy and not mis-sold.

Whoever is giving you this advice is not giving you good guidance. Even if you were able to "reclaim" this, that would leave you completely unprotected in the event of death and/or Critical Illness.
